城东早春
杨巨源[1]
诗家[2]清景在新春，
绿柳才黄[3]半未匀，
若待上林[4]花似锦[5]，
出门俱[6]是看花人。
注释：
[1] 杨巨源：唐朝诗人，贞元五年（789）进士，官至河中少尹。
[2] 诗家：诗人。
[3] 绿柳才黄：指杨柳刚刚发芽，为鹅黄色。
[4] 上林：原指古代帝王园林，此处泛指山野。
[5] 锦：锦缎，指色彩鲜艳。
[6] 俱：都。

A poet should foresee the beauty of early spring,
When tender yellow leaves have not yet turned all green.
If flowers in imperial park burst in full swing,
There're no sight-seers but know it's a blooming scene.
