燕山春暮

金水桥[1]边蜀鸟[2]啼，
玉泉山[3]下柳花飞。
江南江北三千里，
愁绝春归客未归。
注释：
[1]金水桥：分外金水桥和内金水桥，在北京天安门附近。
[2]蜀鸟：杜鹃，又叫子规、杜宇等。
[3]玉泉山：山名，在北京西北。

By Golden Riverside the homesick cuckoos cry;
At the Jade Fountain Hill the willow catkins fly.
Three thousand miles between the north and the south stand.
Why can't I go, when spring is gone, to my homeland?

[1]Banished by the emperor, Zhang Yu committed suicide on the way. The Golden River and the Jade Fountain Hill are in modern Beijing.
