村居遣兴

长巾阔领[1]深村住，
不识我唤作伧父[2]。
掩白沙翠竹柴门，
听彻[3]秋来夜雨。
闲将得失思量，
往事水流东去。
便宜教画却凌烟[4]，
甚是功名了[5]处？
注释：
[1]长巾阔领：指自己粗俗的打扮。
[2]伧父：鄙夫，粗野的农夫。
[3]彻：完，全部。
[4]凌烟：指凌烟阁，是皇帝图画功臣、表彰他们的地方。
[5]了：了却，尽头。

Wearing long hood and large collar in my cot,
I'm called a rude fellow by those who know me not.
My wicket gate closed to bamboos green and sand white,
I listen to the rain throughout the autumn night.
Pondering at leisure gain and loss, weal and woe,
I see the past like running water eastward flow.
Even if my portrait should in high tower remain,
Is it the end of glory I try to attain?
