水仙子[1]
寻梅
乔吉
冬前冬后几村庄，
溪北溪南两履霜，
树头树底孤山[2]上。
冷风来何处香？
忽相逢缟袂绡裳[3]。
酒醒寒惊梦[4]，
笛[5]凄春断肠，
淡月昏黄。
注释：
[1]水仙子：曲牌名，又名“凌波仙”“凌波曲”“湘妃怨”等。
[2]孤山：在杭州西湖边。宋人林逋隐居此地，旧时多梅花。
[3]绡裳：薄绸做的裙。
[4]酒醒寒惊梦：传说隋代赵师雄迁居罗浮山下，一个冬天的傍晚，他在醒醉之间遇见一个素服淡妆、语言清丽的女子，并与她共饮。第二天早晨却发现自己睡在一棵大梅树下。
[5]笛：指笛曲《梅花落》，汉乐府横吹曲名。

From village to village through hoar winter I go;
North and south of the stream my shoes are white with snow.
Where but in Lonely Hill can I find her fair from tip to toe?
Her fragrance comes when I feel the cold wind blow.
Suddenly I meet her in silk robe and white sleeves.
Sober from wine, I wake from dreams, but then she leaves.
My heart is broken to hear the flute wail
In twilight when the moon turns pale.
