清江引
 咏梅

贯云石

南枝夜来先破蕊，

泄露春消息。

偏宜雪月交，

不惹蜂蝶戏[1]。

有时节暗香来梦里。




注释：

[1]偏宜雪月交，不惹蜂蝶戏：指梅花恰好开放在风雪交加的寒冬，不像其他的花一样招蜂引蝶，暗喻高雅的品格。

The southern branches of mume trees

At night are the first to blow,

Revealing vernal beams.

They love the company of moon and snow,

But will not play with butterflies or bees.

Sometimes their gloomy fragrance steals into our dreams.
