应怜屐齿[2]印苍苔[3]，
小扣[4]柴扉[5]久不开。
春色满园关不住，
一枝红杏出墙来。

[1]值：碰见，遇见。
[2]屐齿：木屐底部用于防滑的锯齿。
[3]苍苔：青苔。
[4]小扣：轻敲。
[5]柴扉：树枝扎成的门。

How could the green moss like my sabots,whose teeth sting?
I tap long at the door,but none opens at my call.
The garden can’t confine the full beauty of spring;
An apricot extends a blooming branch o’er the wall.
