《邺风·简兮》
简兮[1]
简兮简兮，
方将万舞[2]。
日之方中，
在前上处。
硕人俣俣[3]，
公庭万舞。
有力如虎，
执辔如组[4]。
左手执龠[5]，
右手秉翟[6]。
赫如渥[7]赭[8]，
公言锡爵。
山有榛，
隰[9]有苓。
云谁之思？
西方美人。
彼美人兮，
西方之人兮。
威武啊，气昂昂啊，
看那万舞要开场。
太阳正在头顶上，
瞧他正在前面站。
高高个子好身材，
公堂面前跳万舞。
扮成力士力如虎，
拿着缰绳如丝带。
左手拿着管儿，
右手舞着雉羽。
脸儿红得像赭石，
大人赏赐一杯酒。
高高山上有榛栗，
低田湿地长苦苓。
柔肠百结思念谁？
来自西方的美人。
那个美人啊，
正是来自西方啊。

[2] 万舞：古时一种用于朝廷、宗庙、山川祭祀仪式上的舞蹈，由文舞与武舞宽合。
[3] 俣俣（yǔ yǔ）：大而美。
[4] 组：宽丝带。
[5] 龠（yuè）：可以吹的一种乐器，似是排箫的前身。
[6] 翟：野鸡尾。
[7] 渥：厚重
[8] 赭：赤褐色。
[9] 隰：湿地。
A Dancer[1]
With main and might
Dances the ace.
Sun at its height,
He holds his place.
He dances long
With might and main.
Like tiger strong
He holds the rein.
A flute in his left hand,
In his right a plume fine,
Red-faced, he holds command,
Given a cup of wine.
Hazel above,
Sweet grass below.
Who is not sick for love
Of the dancing Beau?
Who is not sick for love
Of the Western Beau?
[1]It was said that this was a censure against the State of Wei for not giving offices equal to their merit to its men of worth but employing them as dancers.
