登裴迪秀才小台
端居不出户，
满目望云山。
落日鸟边下，
秋原人外闲。
遥知远林际，
不见此檐间。
好客多乘月，
应门莫上关[1]。
起句，王夫之评曰“拙好”。所谓的拙即是纯朴而看似平淡无奇，所谓的好则是精工而伤神。两者自然的融合实为难得。“落日鸟边下，秋原人外闲”句法倒转，尽展晚景之妙，可谓诗境最精彩处。

On the Garden Terrace of Pei Di
Staying at home,you needn’t go out,
But see clouds and hills all about.
When birds alight with setting sun,
On autumn plain busy is none.
My cot’s in the woods far away,
I can’t see the roof where you stay.
So I visit you by moonlight
And leave my door unclosed at night.
