客去波平槛，
蝉休露满枝。
永怀当此节，
倚立自移时。
北斗[1]兼春远，
南陵[2]寓使[3]迟。
天涯占梦数，

Guests gone,waves level with the balustrade,
Cicadas silent,branches wet with dew.
How can I forget what is done and made
Standing there for hours,I’m thinking of you.
Two years stand between me and Northern Star.
No news from Southern home,it’s overdue.
I can but dream and divine from afar,
Doubting if you have made connaissance new.
